I am supposed to go to one professional meeting a year. The big
American Chemical Society meetings are about 15,000 chemists, and if
that doesn't set off the nerd alert, nothing will. I sit through talks
all day on "where's the electron?" while Debbie goes shopping in Philly.
 The good news is that the University pays for the hotel and my meals;
the bad news is that I pay for the shopping. <g>

Now THERE's an excuse. Can't decide if it's a good one or not though.
