Though only on the *ist-D body, if you read the fine print of the review.

I interpret that as solely support for old film cameras; I don't
expect to see a DSLR without aperture control from the body.

One other thing I noticed was that it looks as though Pentax may
be going back to the old M-series standard of 49mm filter threads.
