based on my experience, the *istD's sensor has way more latitude than Provia
or Velvia and with careful work, almost as much as an average color print
film. if the RAW capture doesn't do it, i can blend exposures metered
exactly for each area of the scene and deliver 10-12 stops of captured
dynamic range easily and 15 stops or more if i work at it.
