Earlier "Amita Guha" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> asked about Smugmug
Amita -
I've used Smugmug since May of 2003. You may recognize the link: <http://georgesphotos.net> I've posted it before. It's mainly a site for my family photos. I also use the site to post the photos from the monthly meetings of our local woodworker's guild.
I joined at the middle level, "power user" so I could put video clips on the site. Last month, a single video clip of the Woodworkers Belt Sander Races had over 5000 viewers all by itself. Even that coupled with the normal traffic on the remainder of the site only used about a quarter of my bandwidth quota.
The site is really easy to use, is well supported and under continuous improvement.
I have nothing but good to say about Smugmug and it's owner-operators, the MacAskills. If you want to get a better feel for their customer service you can check out Digital Grin" the message board they have put up for their customers. It's at <http://www.dgrin.com> Scroll down to the topic "DGrin and Smugmug Support".
On two occasions I've e-mailed a question or suggestion to their "help" address and have had responses within hours.
At the risk of totally nullifying my positive response, I'll let you know this: if you put my email address in the "referred by" slot when you sign up, you'll get a $5 discount. I also get a credit if you don't cancel during the seven day trial period.
If you have any specific questions, don't be afraid to ask either here or privately.
See you later, gs
