I've been shooting a lot in public lately, some of it high visibility jobs. I've been approached by numerous people who want to buy a digital slr. I tell them that there are more options available from NIkon and Canon, but that with Pentax you can use lenses built 25 years ago that are very good and readily available through used equipment sources.. I go on to explain that they have to be used manually. Few seem dissuaded by that. There is a lot of interest when the complete Pentax story is told.

The good thing about Pentax *ist D is, that it's the digital body for owners
of "old" Pentax lenses.
The bad thing about Pentax is, that this is exactly the reason, they can't
seem to produce/sell enough new dedicated lenses and offer customers enough
to choose from.
All the best.
