Markus, I find the shots of China particularly fascinating since my wife and I went there only in April this year. Apart from the number of cars now seen. there doesn't seem to be much change! Which ports/towns were you in? I once boarded a 23,000 ton freighter in Manchester and went with her down the ship canal to Liverpool: not as much space each side as you seemed to have in the Panama! At one stage we were looking down onto the roofs of houses alongside the canal, as she was in ballast. Did the Texas Sun make it? The amount of rust on her bows suggests she was probably flag of convenience registry, with the usual lack of maintenance that implies. Great shots, just shows what the old compacts could do.
