I was wondering if anyone's ever say, taped a red filter over a flash, then gone ahead and shot a roll of black and white film (e.g. red tomato, green tomato etc.)that way. I'm probably guessing that the results won't be the same as say using a Red 25a over your lens, but what exactly -would- you get? I'll probably get round to trying it out when I've got some time..
If there's not a lot of ambient light, you'd get the same result as putting the flash over your lens. Using a coloured flash for fill-in could give very interesting results. (It's a favourite trick of the lomographers, amongst others.)
