That's right, it wouldn't even let you manually select shutter speeds without a separate plug-in adapter, correct?

Oh yes! And somewhere in there was the OM-10, too. Not too bad a camera, but in their zeal to appeal to all and sundry tastes and pocketbooks, they felt they had to offer an affordable SLR, in the fashion of the OM-1, but less costly. Didn't work...
