Ryan,

I don't have the adaptor.  I also transfer using the USB (and using an
X-Drive and via card readers).  And I use the remote assistant to copy
slides.  It all works well without the need for the adaptor if you use
high power NiMH AA batteries.

The secret to getting long life from batteries is not to use the
internal flash or the image preview.
