Also, if tested carefully, you will notice the moving part of the FA77 is actually heavier. FA43 has the same mechanical design, but with lighter structure. FA31 looks the same, but with very different mechanical structure so it focus faster and lighter. It is normal for the FA77 to AF slower btw.

I've noticed on several of the AF lenses I have here that some seem to have
a very different "gear ratio" for lack of a better term.
IOW it takes more turns on the AF coupler to get the same rotation of the
focus ring.
You can use a small common screwdriver in the coupler and count turns.
