Well, maybe some more tech knowledge is needed here. Reversal is a very accurate description of what goes on. However, I think I will let the neo-Luddites look it up for themselves this time.

I've always liked the French term for "reversal"
films:  Diapositif.

If we call negative film what we do, why can't we call
the opposite type "positives"?  That would make sense
to me...
