That's not the first report I've read about early failures in the
1280/1290 printers. Seems like they're *much* less reliable than the
1270 that preceded them and the higher end desktop printers like the
2000 and 2100/2200. Many reports of continual head clogging, too. Never
had a hint of head clogging with the 1270, even when I had gone several
weeks without printing.
