Assuming that the filter ring is in good condition you should be able to fix it pretty easily. The ring with the labelling on it screws out to reveal three small JIS cross point screws which secure the filter ring to the barrel. If the label ring is proving difficult to remove you may be able to press a rubber stopper sized to fit inside the filter ring on it for added grip and leverage.
