I second what Shel said. I've been doing this for years, even before I had anything digital. The Optio 550 is absolutely wonderful for this purpose though, since it can actually fit in my pocket or in a little bag on my belt, and produces such good-quality images. Freed me from carrying a Domke containing an SLR or rangefinder to all my errands. ERN
