A friend of mine uses an old Zeiss Ikon folding camera. Noone seem to take
any notice or even take this camera seriously. So he makes great, natural
looking photographs. Don't show up with a "pro" camera (big black camera).
Waist level is good. Right Angle Scope is brilliant.

Emne: Street photo camera ?

Hi guys,

After shooting for a couple of days on the streets with a digi P&S, I
noticed that I could easily get away with things that I couldn't even
dream of with something like LX + 90mm macro lens. I mean, I could just
smile while looking on the LCD and pointing the camera to some person
and I got either ignored or, quite many times, I got the persons
actually posing with nice happy smiles. In contrast the SLR was giving
me those "you scumbag get lost" looks or in a couple of cases even some
troubles with angry males. Which makes me suspect that the guys
associated with the use of SLRs have a quite bad reputation.

So here's my question: is there any very P&S looking camera (and I mean
at least to have a P&S form factor and be silver or champagne colored
with shiny chromed/gold plated decorations) that has a good fast lens in
the 50-100 mm range ?

Cheers !
