When I was a kid (in Detroit) we loved your nickles (they didn't roll), and hated your quarters (they didn't work in our vending machines).

And speaking of Detroit, I am just reading "Wiskey River" by Loren E Estleman, a novel about Detroit durning prohibition. The author either knows Detroit well, or really did his research.
