one definition of quality is 'fitness for purpose'. If they don't tell you what the purpose is, you can't moan about the fitness! <g> I happened to be looking through one of the old Pentax lens brochures the other day, and I noted that some of the lens descriptions single out certain qualities, such as 'pleasing out-of-focus areas'. Disregarding the subjective nature of 'pleasing', I suppose you could generally infer from such descriptions what they intended the lens to be used for, and work backwards to figure out what not to use it for. -- Cheers, Bob
