Locally I have been interviewed a few times concerning our major triathlons here. I have even appeared in the background on quite a few shots and in print too - easy to do if you are shooting the finish line. But anyhow - that is just locally. If one talks about local - I have also appeared in a foreign newspaper. I was a teenager and it was concerning the local festival in a port in Honduras but it was my first appearance in print. The big appearance would have to be in the national showing of the Gulf Coast Triathlon a couple of years ago. I was interviewed but they ended up putting my name under someone else :-( At least in the US version. Apparently it was correct in the Canadian version. Don't ask me - the Outdoor Life Network did different versions... I do know that I have appeared in a few Ironman Florida telecasts in the background. I am very easy to spot as I am usually wearing a Resistol Gambler straw hat (my signature) and tend to stick out - that and the cameras about my shoulders. Oops, sorry Tom, did not mean to try to take away your thunder... I am to the point that a camera and microphone don't make me break out in a sweat.
