This just in from Pentax Customer service, in response to my question about
which teleconverters can be used with which lenses.
"Only the Rear Converter 2.0XS (#30944) can be used with the FA 300 4.5
lens. Both the 2.0XS and 2.0XL (#30945) converters can be used with the FA
400 5.6 lens The 1.4X converters cannot be used with either of these
lenses."
Now we know.
