I've had the 4G Hitachi microdrive taken from a Muvo for several months now. Not a single loss of data has occured. It appears that the CF cards in the article are some generic brands that are quite unreliable. I also take issue with his claim that no one needs more than 1Gb. I take all my images in RAW ever since I got the 4G drive. It can hold 282 images this way. If I was shooting small (< 1Mb) Jpgs like he does, then I would have 1000's of images, but then much of the advantages of RAW: WB postprocessing, better dynamic range, larger gamut, etc., are lost.

Very useful article. I have ordered a couple of 80x Lexar WA 512Mb cards from a
regular dealer (having learnt my lesson with the Hitachi).
