Ah, but if you listen to the CD, you're missing a bit of the original. When the Heart of Gold lands on Magrathea, part of the dialogue between Arthur & Slartibartfast about Marvin mentions other things he can do. Arthur mentions the robot can also whistle like Pink Floyd, whereupon there's a brief extract (of "Shine on you Crazy Diamond", IIRC) on the sound track. This section was cut from the CDs for royalty reasons. Of course in this day and age anyone with access to a good copy of the original broadcast could re-insert that section and write a new CD :-)
