I read that the forthcoming Minolta DSLR will use a rechargeable
battery. Big strike against it, in my opinion. I wouldn't buy one. In
remote parts of Mali, where I sometimes work, one could shoot past the
first battery charge. Even in Bamako, the capital city, electricity is
unreliable and I would not connect an expensive bit of gear to the grid.
