I have had a lot of exposures run into several minutes of exposure.
If the light changes in that time, thats life.
If the clouds move in that time, they move. It then becomes a natural
part of the picture
Your point is valid if the light is changing rapidly, exposures are
short and there is significant subject movement.
I don't find these three parameters lining up very often.
More often, the light is fairly steady over several minutes, the
subject is static, and exposures are fairly long.
At least thats what I have found in the last 20 or so years of using
large format.
