Hi,
I am interested in others' experience with wireless flashes. Wireless
as wireless-TTL by means of short preflash communicating the info the
the wireless flash. P-TTL, Minolta, Nikon iTTL.
In what I tried (Nikon's iTTL), the exposure was very good, but the
problem for me was with preflash duration, which was even longer than
the usual digital preflash (P-TTL, iTTL,...). I wish that plain old
TTL was usable on the other DSLRs... Apparently IstD supports it, but
from the messages here I gather it's inconsitent.
Anyway, do you find the digital TTL and wireless preflash systems to
be a hindrance in fast situations? Like wedding, action, basically
everything where you depend on the proper moment. I will be shooting
some conferences with borrowed wireless TTL flash on my digital, but
I am concerned about the time lag of the preflash. Even in my short
testing, it was significant. I wouldn't want the MUDrs and PROFs have
all closed eyes ;-)
Good light!
