Gary,
I got hooked on stereo photography after I saw an exhibit at a camera swap
meet in Kent, Washington in the early 1990's. I saw a Pentax Beam Spliter
device and viewer and tried it. The results were OK but had much to be
desired. You can only use the attachment on a 50mm lens. The viewer is
really small in large hands and the 3D effect is wanting sometimes.
Eventualy, I moved up to a Stereo Realist camera from the 50's. Later, I
put two Pentax ESII's side-by-side with 35mm f2 SMC Taks. I tripped both
shutters using a double cable release. Results for the Realist and the
side-by-side are great.
