I like it. Today I went shooting for the first time with the ist D seriously. Went to an area that is very familiar to me, around Union Square in San Francisco. So the only thing (relatively) new to me was the camera. I used mostly the K24/3.5 and the M100/2.8.
The green button thing to meter is really no different from using any othe camera on manual mode, which is what I usually do (my main camera has been the Leica M6 for the last two years). Every time the light changes, sometimes more often, I just press the button. No different from looking down to the LEDs in the Leica, or paying attention to the meter on the side on an MX. Being as it is, digital, I found I shoot more than usual. I shot 65 frames in a couple of hours (doesn't sound like much, but it's really a bit more than my usual rythm). More importantly, I could see all the images as soon as I got home. This is great, makes me want to shoot more. One thing I might not keep is the DA 16-45. Nice perspective, but it's too bulky, zooms are not for me. Anyone know how much are they going for, almost new in the box? Here are a couple of frames from today: http://tinyurl.com/6eyk3 http://tinyurl.com/5399z Both shot with the K35, and alas, both from the same corner and with the same guy in there...
