I think you are going to be wrong in that in some
cases the Body IS that minolta has is going to be
better than the nothing that Pentax/Canon/Nikon
has. don't forget, it is only an option and I 
suspect it can be turned off to make it similar
to non-IS body.

The thing here is no one who is saying the Minolta system is better has

used one. Why not wait to make these determinations from experience
rather than 
guess work. Lot's of seemingly great ideas turned out to be not so great
