I wouldn't be surprised if the recent reductions in top shutter speed and flash sync speed (1/4000th and 1/150th on the ist-D) aren't related to making the shutter's moving parts beefier (heavier and therefore slower) in anticipation of people taking a lot more shots with digital. -- Mark Roberts Photography and writing www.robertstech.com
