Well, Steve, that's totally not my style .... no desire for an autofocus lens to be used on my older bodies in this case, and, for no other reason than I can't stand the added bulk, weight, reduced light transmission or inconvenience (optical quality notwithstanding) I don't use teleconvertors. I borrowed a TC from Stan one time and used it on a tele lens I was considering, and the darker viewfinder, while acceptable on a tripod mounted long lens, would be unacceptable for most of the other work I do.
