Go to Image/Adjustments/Hue and Saturation in PS. On the menu at top where it says "master," pull down to blue. Decrease lightniess and increase satuation. Adjust hue if necessary.

I was out the other day without a PL (shame on me) and got some nice
fall colors but the sky is too pale to contrast.
Ive tried the "replace color" feature but the result isn't at all
natural.
