Maybe even "undesirable"?
I don't know if this is true but the lens is said to be one of the few lenses coming out of the Pentax-Zeiss collaboration, alongside the 15mm, K28/2, etc?
Japanese magazine Camerart found the lens excellent. Most impressive feature was that definition and contrast were already "good" at full aperture (better afterwards of course). Very few zoom were that good back then. The lens was also said to be a bit too heavy.
I think the lens could be used for portrait at full aperture covering full body to head shot.
