An interesting image none the less. I've found that the *istD will 
sometimes go berserk on focus. I think it gets confused and wanders all 
over the place. Perhaps it's too sensitive. In any case, it produced an 
interesting image here, but it reinforces my faith in my good old 
manual focus A 400/5.6.
