Obviously some people have a different opinion, and they can leave if they want to, but you're making a big mistake to generalise from the experience of a few acquaintances. I know several American people and families who have taken up permanent residence in the UK because they prefer it to the US. But I don't generalise from this to suppose that being under American capitalism must be depressing*. I'm curious to know if you've ever been to Europe (or outside the USA at all) and can talk from actual experience of this supposedly depressing socialism, or whether you're just regurgitating your own propaganda. *although I do think that, it's for other reasons.
