Yes it is worth buying.
KEH (www.keh.com) has two SMC-P 100mm f4 macros listed, both in excellent+ condition a K and a M
one for $189 and the other for $199. I'd opine that if you paid more than that for the lens on ebay you'd
be crazy. (KEH is very conservative on their ratings and very easy to deal with BTW).
The name printed on the lens. (It might be more valuable to collectors).

Hello!
I'm looking for a Macro and now I've seen the M 4/100 Dental Macro on ebay.
At the moment it is still not too expensive.
Now the questions: Is it worth buying? How much would be an ok price for on in good condition?
The auction includes also some special filters and a magnetic halter which
you can use only with the ringflash (which is not included and which I don't
own).
Whats the difference to the normal macro?
I want to use it, not collect rare lenses ^_-
thanks for any answers...

I can understand why mankind hasn't given up war. During a war you get to drive tanks through the sides of buildings and shoot foreigners - two things that are usually frowned on during peacetime.
