Yeah I don't really understand sixth grade DOF basics after 30 years of
owning an SLR and I always shoot F22 because it's the "best" one!
I mean I just love it when I get those highly detailed distracting
backgrounds in my portraits.
Why do you insist continuing with these absurd comments?  Just because I
can talk tech doesn't mean I don't understand 
artistic merits TOO. They may be mutually exclusive for you but not for
me....

I am pretty sure that artistic merit flies right past JC's head. Every
discussion I have seen him involved in devolves to pure 
technical detail.
Artistic or creative merits have never, in my memory, been part of 
any of his postings.
