I use every feature you mention on the KX frequently. Especially MLU, as the KX is my "macro" body. Two others I like: matched needle exposure meter (at least in good light) and the standard microprism screen. I've even used the feature where you can lock bulb with the shutter lock for fireworks photos.
However, my favorite thing about K bodies is the shutter release. Most natural to me of any camera I ever tried.

Used to use DOF preview. Haven't for years. Only use a self-timer once a decade or thereabouts. MLU? It's been almost 20 years since I've used it.
And ... the lock on the KX doesn't wear out like the MX lock does.
