I seem to remember someone here said nice things about a M or K 24-50mm (at least it was a wide-to-normal zoom) a few years
back.
Certainly not the M 24-50 which flares badly. The A sported a new optical design and was better. It may also have been about the M 24-35... if 35mm is seen as a normal F lenght...
