I find that when I know a person only thru emails, and have been corresponding for a while, I develop a mind picture of him or her.
A very good friend who fits that category once sent me a jpeg of himself and his dog, and I was aghast!
No, I knew which was which, but...his actual mug was nothing like the picture I had in my mind! Nothing!
I was tempted to say, "What did you do with Larry?"
Oh yeah. It's frequently a surprise, isn't it.
