I came across the first book and bought it some weeks ago, the second is a
recent purchase and has helped both myself and answered a few questions some
friends had regarding eBay. Of course such books are only as relevant as the
day they go to print, but they give the general idea of what and how to do
things. I love book shops anyway, but these two I have enjoyed.

The eBay Book by David Bebin - Harrision House Publishing (UK)

Absolute Beginner's Guide to eBay - second edition by Michael Miller - Que
Publishing (USA)

If you ever wanted to see the difference between the US and the UK towards
dealing, read them both it's an absolute hoot! If anyone is using eBay for
the first time, buy the second book. The US version is far more helpful in
every respect and it's easy to adapt links to UK (or elsewhere) relevance.
It's also better value, although slightly more expensive.
