Hi!

ft> Never any offense taken, Boris. I'm glad that you looked and
ft> commented. Not every photo works for everyone (especially some of
ft> mine <g>).

That's good news. I thought I might have made you feel uncomfortable.

ft> The following will likely make no difference as to whether you like
ft> the photo or not, but from your post, I'm not sure that you're aware
ft> of all the meanings of "library". Since English isn't your first (or
ft> second?) language, you may not be aware that a library is not just a
ft> big place where one goes to borrow books. It can be a room in a house
ft> where one keeps one's books, and reads them or sometimes quietly chats
ft> with acquaintances.

Oh. I do know about the library room. I just did not think of it when
I looked at the picture.

ft> In this case, we have a photo of the library in a friend's house.
ft> It's just the room where she has large bookcases and keeps many of her
ft> books. There's a big table and she's working at it (you can barely
ft> see her face at the bottom of the window). It was taken from her
ft> backyard at night. I was actually taking a photo of her alleyway (on
ft> the right) when I noticed the window and the library, and I thought
ft> they balanced the alleyway nicely.

ft> I called it "In the Library" because I hadn't noticed Noelle when I
ft> took the photo, and so I wanted to have viewers "look into the window"
ft> with me to look at her bookshelf, and then find Noelle, as I did.

Now I see it. Well, even with your explanation it does not really
work, but as I said, my sight is different than yours. Sometimes you
and I see same or similar things, and some times not.

ft> Anyway, none of that is likely to make any difference to you, but I
ft> did want you to know that library has more than just one meaning. If
ft> you already knew that, I hope you don't take any offence; I wasn't
ft> trying to sound patronizing or anything.

No, you actually sound rather friendly than patronizing.

I appreciate your response. Sometimes my vision is rather tunnel-like.
And I almost never afraid to admit I was wrong :).
