Of course, in English that's - oh never mind, you know what that means...

Next couple of photos:

"Just Another Autumn Picture" by Mat Maesseh - I don't know if it's a
cliche or not; I like it anyway. Pleasing composition (to my eye at
least): the positioning of that red leaf in the frame really
emphasizes it nicely. Nice use of dof really brings that leaf to our
attention. Nice colours. What's not to like? Thematically and
seasonally appropriate as well. Just curious, but did you find that
leaf just as is, or did you place it there at that angle just for the
photo? Just curious <g>.

"Red Life Vests" by Thrainn Vigfussen - well, I really had to strain
to see it, and it took several minutes. You're referring to the
people in the boat, right? The little boat that we can hardly see,
with the even smaller people in it? I can hardly tell that they're
wearing red, but I'll take your word for it. As it's the only red I
see in the photo, I guess it ~does~ meet the thematic guidelines -
just barely... <vbg> Interesting photo. Actually, a lovely pano,
but sadly, I fear much of it's impact is lost with the small file size
and aspect ratio for PUG submissions. Too bad, because I think it
would be a wonderful photo blown up real big. As is, it's dramatic
seascape, with all the ice, the frozen ground, the mountains in the
background and some pretty interesting clouds. Well done.

"Red Carpet" by Alin Flaider - Maybe it's my monitor, but the flowers
don't come off as really all that red - it's a very dark and muted
red, and since the mountains are dark (I assume to to the backlighting
of the sun?), the red really isn't as obvious as one might like it to
be. I'm not usually an advocate of PS trickery, but bringing up the
red a bit might have made a photo of much greater impact. As is, it's
still quite lovely - good comp, dramatic subject (the mountains),
interesting lighting. It just could have been a lot more, IMHO, if
the red flowers were much more obvious.

"Red Bridge" by Bruce Dayton - Bruce, you do calm so very well! <vbg>
This is one of your photos that relaxes me when I look at it. The
composition is quite lovely - all those curves just seem to come
together in a most pleasing way. I love the calm water, the beautiful
warm sunlight. This is just a beautiful photo. Thanks for posting
it.

More later - I'm off to watch more football...

cheers,
frank
