Thanks Frank. I would like to have gotten it without that shadow on the left, but I'm not sure it's ever completely in the clear. The alternative would be to shoot it when it's in full shade. I didn't have time to fool around this trip, but perhaps I will some other day.

Paul, that's a terrific photo! I only spent one weekend in ChiTown back in my university days, and I had a terrific time. Through all the haze, I remember being most impressed by the local architecture. Of the skyscrapers, I think the Hancock Center was my fave - it's just so nicely proportioned, with that lovely taper and the distinctive cross-bracing. There's no other modern skyscraper in the world like it.

You've captured it beautifully here - from just the right angle/focal
length - it seems to go on forever, but doesn't look massive. I also
like the inclusion of the spiral building/annex/whatever (I assume
it's a parking garage?) - your choice of focal length proportions it
nicely with the main building, yet the curves really work well against
all the straight lines of the main tower. And, the clouds/blue sky
are dramatic as well.

Great stuff!!

cheers,
frank
