For the most part, car shooters who wanted bright, contrasty, shiny sheet metal would cancel shoots if the skies were totally mud. Most still would. I almost did. But since I was there, I shot. I was surprised at how much I could draw out of the RAW data. I've tried the same with film to no avail.
