This should finish it off for this month:

Up in the Rafters by Billy Abbot - This is a really cool shot. I
really like the idea of diagonal composition with this. The lighting
is amazing - the haze around the light streaming through the skylights
gives the photo an almost vintage look. Terrific shot!

My Neice (Fruzsina) by Attila Bardi - Such a serious look! <g> Nice
portrait. I found the shadows across the face a bit off-putting at
first, but I'm getting used to them. I do like the lighting - looks
like natural light from a window off to the side. Well done.

Not Red by Joseph Tainter - Got a problem with red, Joe? <g>
Seriously, I do like this photo a lot. Nice sharp bird, nice OOF
background. A seagull (or at least some sort of water bird) with a
big huge cruise ship in the background; I like the way you got the
sharp bird off to the left, so we could soak in the background a bit.
Cool shot!

One Steppe Beyond by Andre Langevin - I won't complain about the
horrible pun in your title (but I should <g>). Lovely landscape that
captures the seemingly endless hills. Is that in Russia, or part of
the former USSR? I seem to remember Russian Steppes from geography in
school. Anyway, I like the rocky formation and the trees in the
foreground as a counterpoint to the repetitive background. Also, are
those birds or livestock down in the valley? Whatever they are, I
like that they're there. All in all, very well done; a wonderful
photo.

Among the Fauna by Maris V. Lidaka Sr. - First of all, in that whole
Botanical Garden, you couldn't find a red flower? <g> And, second,
I'm confused: I thought flowers and plants were Flora and animals
were Fauna. You call that Fauna, but it looks like a plant, and
indeed seems to be found in a garden. Hmmm... As for the photo
itself, it's an interesting thing (whatever it might be), and quite
lovely, too! Nice composition sharp stuff in the foreground, looks
like nice bokeh behind the leaves. Interesting...

I think that's it. I haven't done it for a while (like 6 months?),
and may not do it for another considerable period of time, but that's,
for better or worse, November PUG through frank's squinty, beady
little eyes <vbg>

cheers,
frank
