Interesting, the semi-official Rollei history by the former Rollei employee Claus 
Prochnow gives the weight of the original 1965 Rollei 35 as 370 g and the weight of 
the Made in Singapore version as the same 370 g. If you really have an early version 
that is heavier than this it must be one of the prototypes which had chromed brass top 
and bottom decks - later ones had aluminium (not plastic).
The next generation T and S models are lighter at 330 g and 345 g, respectively - but 
I do not see much plastic in mine. As I have only one I have not had the chance to 
compare them side by side but could you elaborate a bit - what is not plastic on the 
German original?
