P30n and P30t has Av mode (not just P and M).
I have used a P30n - brilliant camera, if you don't need TTL flash or manual
ISO setting (it's DX only)
P30 and P50 series have very smooth and quiet shutter release - good for
slow speeds/silent places.

I just sold my P30n to a friend with a A 2.0/50mm, but I think I'll keep my
P50 (which isn't worth must in the market place anyway). It aslo has a
Landscape and an Action program, +2/-2 exposure compensation as well a the
ability utlize a MEII winder.

Emne: RE: Comments on Pentax P3/P3n

I have had several of the P series cameras.
They're built a bit cheesey and are missing some features
such as the ability to take a winder.
They do a fantastic job for the money however and I have
sold several to buyers who are very pleased.
Very comfortable to hold as they have a rubber
grip. Good viewfinder.

Here's the rundown:

P3 or P30 has manual and program exposure modes.

P3n, P30n, P30t adds aperture preferred auto.

P30t also has diagonal rather than horizontal
split prism AND is a rather homely 2 tone grey
rather than all black like the others.
