Well, you're going to hate me for this, Shel, but Wow, What a Shot!!

I keep looking at it, soaking in more and more details. The way her
umbrella is parallel with the line in the sidwalk, which in turn is
more or less parallel with the railing above. She's even leaning in
more or less the same direction - it's a real dynamic shot,
considering she's likely sitting still!

No, she isn't...
If you look very carefully at her left ear, you'll see just a hint of an earphone, and
is actually listening to some fine Reggae!
You'll notice a very slight blur around her right cheek, as she rapidly taps her foot...

But, maybe that's just me... :)

All the patterns and textures and lines work in harmony.

And, I've gotta say, what you do with your scans is incredible. She's
so sharp - I hope I can learn to do that with a PS book I'm expecting
in the mail soon <vbg>. Of course, the background is perfectly OOF -
great use of DOF.

And, beyond the technicalities, I've gotta say, there's something
wistful about this photo. She's just ~there~, seemingly in the middle
of nowhere, just sitting. Waiting for what or whom? Or is she
waiting for anything at all? Maybe just sitting in that rather odd
place, watching the world go by?

I could go on, but at this point suffice to say that I love it!

cheers,
frank
