Actually it really doesn't tell you much even though the bids show now. You don't know what bids have been placed manually and which by auto proxy, unless you care to watch the times very carefully. You still have no clue what a persons *high bid* is until he's *outbid*. If you look carefully though you can sort of seperate the "nibblers" from the serious bidders. Has no effect at all on how I bid on an item. I bid the maximum amount I'm willing to pay, at the last possible instant. No one ever sees my bid till it's too late. I either win or lose with that one bid, I NEVER bid more than once.
