I'm still trying to formulate just what it is about this shot that bothers me. I can't put a finger on it; every individual component from the composition to the colours to the overall feeling seems fine. I suspect that it's basically too small an image (in pixel dimensions) for the amount of detail in the shot - perhaps a slightly larger presentation would work better. It would certainly show off the pleasing far light effects on the clouds to advantage.
