I'd call that a good price. The *ist-DS body is priced about the same as a Canon 300D here.
When looking at the price online at my local camera shop's website I got a bit of a shock. I thought they were selling *ist-D kits for NZ$1,000 which would be absurdly cheap. I was halfway through writing them an email when I realised it was the *ist film body :(
I am still thinking about getting a decent medium format film scanner before I buy a DSLR. Maybe a second-hand 67II as well, if I can find one. Then I'll buy myself a holiday so I can get out and use it :)
